Programme:
An excursion in the valleys of the Prenestini Mountains, surrounded by stunning nature, to discover the GIANTS OF WATER: hidden in the dense vegetation are equally stunning monumental hydraulic structures that the Romans built with great ingenuity to bring water to Rome. A beautiful and adventurous route along a loop that connects Ponte Sant’Antonio, Ponte della Mola, Ponte San Pietro, the old Mola along Via della Selciatella and Torre Raminga. Among streams, ancient maintenance roads and paths that are at times more challenging and steep in the thick woods, we will learn about the history of these places and at the end we will reach San Gregorio da Sassola with its imposing Brancaccio Castle.
