This route, the first with steep slopes, will immerse us in an environment where biodiversity meets history, opening up to wide panoramic views. The trail we will follow has had a profound impact on the community of Poli due to its importance to the town’s economy. Our walk will take us through a forest rich in botanical features and biodiversity, where we will discover, through the presence of Roman cisterns, that even in ancient times there were settlements of considerable interest in this area. We will proceed to one of the most interesting places in the Prenestini Mountains and explore a mature forest.
