Poli – San Gregorio da Sassola

The route starts from the village of Poli, an ancient hilltop town surrounded by lush nature. It climbs gently towards Casape, a small mountain village nestled among beech and chestnut trees, where the view begins to open up onto the valleys of the Agro Romano.

From Casape, take the Sentiero La Ventrosa, a scenic trail that winds through beech woods, clearings and vantage points offering spectacular views of the Roman countryside and surrounding hills. Along the way, you will pass through areas of high environmental value such as the Pozzo della Neve area, the meadows of Monte Guadagnolo (visible in the distance) and the Fonte di Folcaracci, a rest stop nestled in the woods.

The arrival in San Gregorio da Sassola, a medieval village dominated by Palazzo Brancaccio, marks the end of a journey that combines history, nature and majestic views.
